Equity-centered leaders

An association recognized it needed to develop more skills among its leaders in creating an equitable and inclusive to walk its talk about its commitment to equity.

What we did

Collaborative Curriculum

Created a curriculum that was interactive, in both group and individual format, and focused on applicable skills that were relevant to the organization and staff.

Training and Coaching

Provided recurring trainings to managers and individual coaching for leaders to have a safe space to discuss their unique situations.

Engage Staff

Through staff surveys and listening sessions, assessed how leaders were shifting their competencies and took feedback on what skills we may need to bolster with leaders.

Courageous Conversation

As we broached new topics about equitable leadership, we facilitated conversations where some leaders did not see eye-to-eye to build more shared understanding and trust.
